Tooth Fairy x 2
It is a known fact in our house that if your tooth falls out after 2pm, you may or may not make it on the tooth fairy's list for the night. You never know.
Unfortunately, on Sunday night, we did not make the list. Your lonely little tooth was still sitting there. You had brushed it, and even left a candy for the fairy. Alas! We were surprised to know that the fairy snuck in on her mid morning drop and managed to come that same morning.
And then....
Later that day do you know what happened? That other tooth that has been wiggly for about 2 months finally let go. So she came AGAIN that night. Now after that morning, you guys were excited. You left the tooth fairy notes, a treat, and a beautiful bed to lay that tooth in. In return for your efforts, she left you all a treat. You got a dollar. So did Ruby, for being a nice sister and helping you with the letters and the tooth bed. (Working hard to encourage good behavior there!).. And last, so did Henry. It said his turn would come, and that his name was on her list for next year.
Vacation Bible School
So we are starting with today and continuing until we are caught up. Today!
We did vbs at your preschool today. I am a helper teacher in Henry's 4's class with you. It is fun. The theme is g-force... But somehow during music practice we always end up singing Henry's alma mater, deep and wide. We are also singing Father Abraham had many sons (many sons had father Abraham...), a baby bird song, Zacchius and the wee little man, I am a Christian, and others.
Operation Ketchup
I am catching up all of your baby books today while you three play. Summer has sprung... The pool is a cool oasis on already 100 degree days, we are doing vbs at a nearby church (cumc). So far the summer is sweet. Smiles are big, cheeks are red from playing and sunshine, and your heads are heavy on your pillows when 8:30 rolls around. It is just the best of life, right now... And I am trying to slow down and breathe deep.
